Nam June Paik Festival
- Presented by NJP Art Center
- NOW JUMP: Station 2
- 8 Oct 2008 - 5 Feb 2009
To celebrate its inauguration, the Nam June Paik Art Center presents the Nam Jun Paik Festival from 8 October 2008 to 5 February 2009. NOW JUMP, the title of the Nam June Paik Festival, does not merely represent a concept. Instead it is a call to action and appeal for innovation.
‘Station 2’ views today’s performance more than 40 years after Nam June Paik’s performance, which crossed the boundary between art and counter-art. Performances in the form of exhibitions present subtle boundaries between visual art and performance. About 20 performances to be introduced at the festival, including Romeo Castellucci’s ‘Paradiso’, will leave the stage as one work and be placed in exhibition space.
